St. Louis Native Connor Fiehler’s Debut Album, “Generation Flee” Available Globally May 22

In May 2020, this multi-instrumentalist graduated from Kirkwood High School located in a suburb of St. Louis county. This fall he will attend Nashville’s Belmont University for its Commercial Music program. After a family trip to Memphis at age 12, Fiehler shared he was introduced to the blues which “made me want to pick up the guitar and bass guitar. I haven't put them down since.” Fiehler’s parents enrolled him in the School of Rock Kirkwood (Missouri) soon after that Memphis trip. He continued with the school for 5 years and was chosen for their highest program, the AllStars in 2018 which “takes the very best students from around the world and sends them on a country-wide summer tour across the United States. Less than 1% of School of Rock students are selected each year to represent School of Rock as an AllStar.” In 2017, Fiehler joined St. Louis-based pop/indie rock band Thames as their bassist routinely performing at local nightclubs and embarked on a 12-city tour of midwestern and southern US states during the summer of 2019. He also occasionally plays bass for the classic rock cover band Hot Soup.

Musical influences include Jacob Collier, Theo Katzman, Stevie Wonder, and Bill Withers, among many others. Allen Stone, Louis Cole, and Sam Amidon are currently on his heavy rotation playlist.

ST. LOUIS, MO -- St. Louisan Connor Fiehler’s first full-length album Generation Flee will be released and available worldwide on Friday, May 22, 2020. Not only did Fiehler write all the songs and lyrics on the eight-track album he also is the main vocalist on all the tracks and performs a multitude of the instruments including guitar, bass, mandolin, and synths. The album showcases Fiehler’s broad talent of playing heavy bluesy-rock riffs to grooving, languid, hip-swaying soul to folk to introspective, dream-pop, and more. A stripped-down live stream concert within the first two weeks of the album is in the works. At age 18, Fiehler has a dedication to his craft and has accomplished more than many musicians well beyond his years.

The bluesy, funk-rock “The One You’re Using" will be the first single released for a limited time on Soundcloud, May 15-17, from Generation Flee. Fiehler knew he wanted at least one song to feature another vocalist and when he saw long-time School of Rock companion Eve Rigby perform in December 2019 with Phi “it inspired me to write this song specifically for her voice.”
