For fans of: The Fray, The Killers, The All-American Rejects, 311, and Incubus

“Hookier than a bass tournament” is how lead singer, guitarist, and pianist Ryan Carson’s music has been described. Having written numerous songs and playing in many bands that fell through, Ryan got tired of the negativity cycle and decided to reach out to someone he knew he could rely on; his bass guitarist cousin Chris St. John. After all, their grandmother had always wanted them to form a family band.

Keeping it in the family, Chris and Ryan decided to name the band, “Waiting For London” based on a script their aunt wrote about waiting for a girl named London. While collaborating on a few songs, the cousins decided to step out of the negativity that had surrounded them; creating music that carried a message of optimism and hope. To round out the band, they added guitarist Casey Toohey and drummer Kevin G. (who always appreciates iced coffee), that they knew they could solidify their sound and vision. By performing at local events and open-mics, the group became a united force.

It was late 2019 when this band of like-minded musicians stepped onto the Wolf Den stage at Mohegan Sun. They drew on their combined hardship turned courage to make it a night to remember. With the band being influenced by The Fray, 311, Incubus, and The All-American Rejects, critics reviewed Waiting For London as having a uniquely positive pop/rock alternative sound.

Waiting For London’s upcoming EP Worth The Wait is produced by Loud Lion Productions, co-owned by Lakeshore’s Jesse Castro and Ben Lionetti, and is the culmination of years of hard work for all involved.

The band is motivated to show that there is more to life than survival, and like finding true love; it's worth the wait.

“We’re truly excited to share our new music,” Ryan states. “Our EP Worth The Wait pulls elements from pop, rock, jazz, and even strands of classical music. It’s an eclectic fusion of our influences and individual personalities. We can’t wait to get out there to perform these songs and see what the future holds.” Worth The Wait will be released 6/6/2020.
